TeamSpeak is a program used for voice communication over the Internet. It differs from an ordinary phone with an almost infinite number of people who can communicate at the same time. In addition, TeamSpeak is similar to a multi-channel walkie-talkie, in which it is possible to use several channels at once. To create and configure your own TeamSpeak server, you need to follow these steps.
Instructions
Step 1
First, you need to download the program server itself. This can be done either from the official website (https://www.teamspeak.com/), or from any search engine. The server does not require installation, you just need to unpack the downloaded archive. After that, in the program folder, find the ts3server_win64.exe file and run it as administrator (right-click on the file and select "Run as administrator")
Step 2
After that, a new window will open in front of you, which will contain information about the administrator's name, password and privilege key. All this data must be copied or recorded, since without it you will not be able to configure and manage the server (for example, you will not be able to add a new administrator). The window with your passwords opens only the first time you start it.
Step 3
For further configuration, you will need the TeamSpeak client. You can also download it from the official website or from any search engine. Start the client and then enter your server ip, port and name. Then click "Connect". By default, your server's ip address will be 127.0.0.1 and port 9987. For other users to connect to your server, you need an external ip address. Having done all the above steps, you can proceed to setting up the server.
Step 4
First, open the Privileges menu and select Use Privilege Key. Enter the admin key you wrote down earlier. If everything is done correctly, you will see a window informing about the successful use of the key.
Step 5
To change general settings, right-click on your server name and select Options. In the new window, you can change the name, password, greeting, maximum number of users and the number of reserved slots (which you can use for yourself and your friends). Also you can set a small picture for your server.
Step 6
To go to advanced settings, click on the "More" button. Here you can enter an additional server message, add a banner for your site, a server button.
Step 7
After that, you can proceed to editing the channel that was created automatically. To do this, right-click on the channel and select "Edit". In a new window, you can change the channel name, password, subject and description.
