The Windows registry needs updating from time to time. The fact is that after the installation of almost every program, the data that is needed for its operation are recorded in the system registry. But after uninstalling applications, most of this data remains in the registry, thereby clogging up the operating system and making it unstable.

Instructions
Step 1
To clean the system registry, special computer optimization programs are used, one of which is called TuneUp Utilities 2011. The program is paid, but there is a trivial period of its use. Download the application from the Internet and install it on your computer hard drive.
Step 2
Launch TuneUp Utilities. When the program is launched for the first time, it scans your computer. Wait for the completion of this operation, after which you will be prompted to optimize the system. Here, whatever you want, but this procedure will definitely not interfere with the computer. After optimization or abandoning it, you will be taken to the main menu of the program.
Step 3
From this menu, select the System Optimization tab. In the window that appears, find the "Manually start maintenance tasks" section. In this section, find the "Registry Cleanup" option. In the window that appears, check the "Full view" item and click "Next". Then wait for the registry scan process to complete. In the next window, click "Next".
Step 4
A log window will appear, displaying information about any unnecessary registry data. There is a Start Cleanup button at the top of the log. Click on this button. The following window will appear, in which just click "Next". After that, the procedure for updating the registry will begin. Upon completion, all unnecessary data will be deleted. Close all program windows and restart your computer.

Another advantage of TuneUp Utilities 2011 is that the program automatically updates the system registry from time to time. Moreover, this procedure is performed in the background, so you don't even have to be distracted.
