Step 1
In order to turn on the power of portable devices from the USB port of the computer, make sure that it is active for you. This is done using BIOS. When the computer boots, press the Delete key (or any other depending on the motherboard model), go to the Power Management section. Make sure that USB power is turned on in your computer, if not, change the appropriate settings and save them.
Step 2
Connect the device to be charged to your computer. Please note that many of them only charge online, so it is best to read the instructions that came with the kit first. If, nevertheless, charging the device is also provided for USB, look at the icon in the upper right corner, it is responsible for the state of the battery.
Step 3
Install the driver for the device you are charging if you have problems connecting to your computer. Some devices (mainly older mobile phones) can only be paired with a PC in PC Suite mode, otherwise your device will simply not be recognized by the system.
Step 4
In case of problems with charging a device using the USB interface, check all available ports at once and use several devices to check - if possible - at once. Carefully study the instructions for the motherboard (if you do not have one, download it from the Internet) and check the compatibility of the BIOS parameters.
Step 5
Also open the lid of the computer, make sure the wires of the power supply are connected to the wires of the USB port modules. If your ports are out of order, replace them with new ones. You can buy them in computer stores and radio sales points in your city. When installing them, also follow the instructions.
