During an extended period of use of the computer, the hard disk may be damaged. Accordingly, information almost always disappears. However, this problem can be solved in many ways. First of all, you need to adhere to a certain execution of operations that even an inexperienced user can carry out.
Necessary
Personal computer, Acronis True Image 8.0
Instructions
Step 1
There is an excellent multifunctional program Acronis True Image 8.0. It not only backs up data, but also allows you to recover your hard drive. If you have a backup of your software, everything can be done very quickly. Start your computer from the disc that was created earlier. A True Image window will open in front of you. Select the "Image Recovery Wizard" section. Select the location of your image in the program in order to restore it. For example, E: Imagew2k_admin_05-01-13.tib. Set the type of recovery, that is, select "Active". Then click the "Next" button. You can change the size of the recovered data if you want. Indicate how many sections you are willing to return. Then click the "Proceed" tab.
Step 2
You can use the FindNTFS program for recovery. It is used even when Windows itself does not boot. To use this program, load a DOS floppy disk. FindNTFS must be written on it beforehand. To get a list of what you want to recover, type the command “FINDNTFS # 1 1 1 c: recoverlog.txt files” in the command line, where instead of the “#” symbol, put the disk number. If there is only one hard drive on the computer, then the number will be "1". When the program gives you the search results, select what you want to restore. Remember their numbers. In order to return the information, press the "copy" command. Make sure that you have enough space on the disk and in the folder for recovery.
Step 3
An excellent program for finding lost files and recovering them is TestDisk. Its versions are suitable for both DOS and Linux. Works with FAT partitions; NTFS. Run the program on your computer. You will see a list of available disks. You must specify the disk that you plan to restore. Select the "analyze" section. A list with the available sections appears. Press the "Enter" key and the search will begin. After this process is completed, press "Enter" again. Then select the item with the name "search!". New information will be written to disk if you press "0write". Next, you get the recovered system. If the boot sector of the partitions is damaged on the computer, then you need to do it differently. Select the "advanced" tab and then "boot". Testdisk will compare the boot sector with its copy.
