How to remove a hard drive on a computer? We have tried to prepare the most complete guide on this issue.
Necessary
Small Phillips or flat head screwdriver
Instructions
Step 1
Before removing the hard drive, you must first disconnect the computer from the power supply. Only then can you proceed to the stage of disassembling the computer case. First, you need to remove the side covers from the system unit. On the back of the case, you will see six screws that you can unscrew to provide open access for easy removal of the hard drive.
Step 2
Before you start unscrewing the hard drive mounting bolts, you need to disconnect all cables and power wires leading to the device. This must be done carefully, as there is a possibility of damage to any of the wires. Only after all the loops have been disconnected from the device, you can proceed to unscrewing its mounting bolts.
Step 3
This can be done with either a small Phillips screwdriver or a small flat-tipped screwdriver. The twisted screws must be put separately so that you do not tighten the other screws the next time you attach. After all the screws are twisted, you can remove the hard drive.
