And here it is worth considering that at the moment there is no official and approved by the developers way to broadcast your musical compositions from the VKontakte social network. However, you can use another broadcast method.
Using VAC
One of the popular ways to stream any kind of music is VAC (or Virtual Audio Cable). This method enables the voice group administrator to stream songs directly from the computer through their account.
However, when using VAC, the streamer will not be able to use the microphone and will not be able to hear the audio stream that is being broadcast. The VAC method is suitable for those who need from time to time to play certain musical compositions from their computer that are not available on the Internet.
In order to stream songs via VAC, you need to follow these steps:
- Download and install a dedicated VAC utility.
- Find "Line 1" in all playback devices available on the PC and right-click on it.
- Set the selected device as "Default device".
- Perform exactly the same actions, but in the "Recording" tab.
- Launch the player with which the music will be broadcast.
- Go to the settings and select the item "Line 1" in the playback settings.
- Launch Discord and go to settings.
- Find the "Voice and Video" tab in the settings.
- Comes to the "Input Devices" parameter and select "Line 1".
After that, all that remains is to turn on your favorite music composition in your player and switch to the voice channel. Other users in the voice channel will listen to the songs that the broadcaster will include.
Can I stream from SoundCloud or YouTube
Unlike the social network VKontakte, you can stream songs from SoundCloud or YouTube through Discord. In order to do this, you must:
- Go to the active head channel and enter the "! Summon" command. Immediately after this command, the bot will enter the channel.
- Enter another command - "! P" (or Play), and then enter the name of the song you want to listen to (you can also, alternatively, insert a link to a video or a whole playlist).
- After entering the data, the bot will start searching and, if the search is successful, will start broadcasting the composition.
It should be noted that all these commands will be relevant only for Rythm (this is exactly the bot for Discord).
