The function of automatically connecting to the Internet when Windows boots up can be useful, like all other automation options. The solution to this problem does not require the involvement of additional software.
Instructions
Step 1
Call the main system menu by clicking the "Start" button and go to the "Control Panel" item. Open the "Network Connections" link and open the PPPoE connection context menu by right-clicking. Specify the "Properties" item and uncheck the box in the "Prompt for name, password …" line of the "Parameters" group in the dialog box that opens. Confirm saving of the changes made by clicking OK.
Step 2
Call the PPPoE connection context menu again by clicking the right mouse button and select the "Create shortcut" command. Move the created shortcut to the startup folder or return to the main Start menu for an alternative method of setting up automatic connection.
Step 3
Go to the "All Programs" item and expand the "Standard" link. Expand the "Service" node and select the "Scheduled Tasks" section. Use the "Add task" command and confirm the execution of the selected action by clicking the OK button. Click the Browse button and select Desktop. Specify the created shortcut to automatically connect and apply the check box in the line "When the computer boots" in the new dialog box of the manager. Confirm the saving of the changes made by clicking the "Next" button and type your computer administrator password in the opened window of the system request. Apply the saved changes by clicking the OK button.
Step 4
Once again return to the main menu "Start" in order to change the parameters of connection restoration in case of disconnection in automatic mode, and again go to the item "Control Panel". Open the "Network Connections" link and open the context menu of the PPPoE connection by clicking the right mouse button. Specify the "Properties" item and apply the checkbox in the "Call back on disconnection" line of the "Parameters" group in the opened dialog box. Confirm saving of the changes made by clicking OK.
