One of the most popular online games World of Tanks, created by the Belarusian company Wargaming, gives the player the opportunity to feel in the thick of a tank battle as the commander of a formidable combat vehicle. And just as at sea the crews of warships opened kingstones so as not to surrender to the enemy, so the tankers of World of Tanks sometimes destroy their vehicles themselves. But how can this be done?
Necessary
- - a computer that meets the WoT system requirements;
- - registered account;
- - Internet connection;
- - game client.
Instructions
Step 1
There may be several reasons why you decided to destroy your tank. For example, you see that the battle is clearly lost, and you do not want to give your enemies the joy of killing you. By self-destructing, you can deprive opponents of the expected rewards in order to somehow harm the winners. You can self-destruct if you have a falling out with your team, reducing their chances of winning.
Step 2
The realistic physics that appeared in one of the patches (updates) of the game significantly expanded the capabilities of tankers to independently destroy their vehicles. There are a total of three methods, each with its own limitations on the applicability. Before patch 0.8.6, there was a method of self-destruction programmatically, for which there was a corresponding mod, but in the next patches this option was removed.
Step 3
Self-destruct method number 1 - drown yourself. Naturally, it only works on those maps where there is a body of water of sufficient depth. Just drive your tank into the water to such an extent that an icon with a ten-second timer appears, wait 10 seconds and you can safely go to the hangar: your tank is destroyed, and the enemy was left without extra experience and credits.
Step 4
Method number 2 - crash. If there is no water on the map, but there is a relatively significant difference in height (ravines, rock ledges, hills), then you can disperse the tank and jump down. The school physics course will allow you to fully imagine what will happen to a 30-ton car if it falls from at least the third floor. In the best case, your tank will lose a significant part of its HP and receive critical damage to its modules, and in the worst case, it will crash completely.
Step 5
Method number 3 - to shoot yourself - is, unfortunately, not suitable for all tanks, but only for self-propelled artillery installations (ACS). The fact is that possessing powerful ammunition, these tanks are quite fragile. Considering that self-propelled guns shoot mainly high-explosive shells, which poorly penetrate armor, but inflict damage over the area, you can stand point-blank against the wall and shoot - your tank will most likely be destroyed by fragments of your own shell.
