There are many ways to expand an image. As a rule, graphic editors are used for this, but you can get by with programs for viewing graphics. Even the standard Windows Explorer can do this.

Instructions

Step 1

The easiest option is to use Windows Explorer. To launch it, double-click the shortcut "My Computer" or press the combination of keys Win and U (Latin "E").

Step 2

By default, Windows offers to save pictures to a folder named "My Pictures", but this is not a prerequisite. You need to find the folder on your computer where the required file was saved - in the left pane of the explorer, go through the folder tree to the one where the image intended for transformation is stored.

Step 3

Now you need to open the "View" section in the explorer menu and select "Filmstrip" from the list.

Step 4

The folder view in the right pane changes and four buttons appear below the selected image. Two of them are designed specifically to rotate the picture 90 degrees (one clockwise, the other counterclockwise). Click the one you want. You can press any of them twice if you want to flip the image.

Step 5

Of course, the graphic editor has much more possibilities for transforming images, and if you plan to process it somehow after the image has been rotated, then it makes sense to immediately open the file in such an editor. For example, you can use the Paint. NET graphics application supplied with Windows. In the same explorer, right-click the desired file and in the context menu, in the "Open with" section, click the Paint. NET line. In this application, you can expand the picture by opening the "Image" section in the menu and selecting the "Flip horizontally" item there. Unlike Explorer, after editing a picture, you need to save it in order to fix the changes made in the file.
