Flash banners and websites made using flash technology sometimes load the processor, and the computer starts to slow down. This is especially noticeable when working on the Internet through old browsers on outdated computers. Therefore, to speed up the system, you may need to disable the flash. Additionally, it will save your internet traffic costs.
Instructions
Step 1
In the popular Internet Explorer browser, the way to disable the flash depends on the version of the program you have installed. However, starting from version 7.0 use the following mechanism for disabling flash objects (depending on the version, minor nuances are still possible). Go to the "Service" menu in the "Add-ons" item. In the window that opens, select "All add-ons" and in the general list find the name "Shockwave Flash Object". At the bottom, click the "Disable" button, then close the window and refresh the page you are viewing.
Step 2
To disable Flash in Mozilla Firefox, go to the Tools menu and select Add-ons. In the settings window that appears, go to the "Plugins" tab. You will see a list of installed plugins. Find the name “Shockwave Flash” among them, select it and click the “Disable” button that appears next to it. Reload the page.
Step 3
To disable Flash in the Opera browser, go to the main menu of the program. Select the item "Settings" in the drop-down submenu, specify "Quick settings". In the list that opens, uncheck the box next to the "Enable plugins" option. Refresh the page you are viewing.
Step 4
To disable Flash in the Google Chrome browser, enter the program settings by clicking on the wrench icon to the right of the address bar and selecting the "Options" command from the drop-down menu. Go to the "Advanced" tab and in the list of settings that appears, click on the "Content settings …" button. In the new window, in the "Plugins" field, click the "Disable individual modules" link. In the list of browser modules that appears, find the "Flash" module and click the "Disable" command under it. Then close all the settings windows and reload the page you are viewing.
