Step 1
When familiar, frequently used shortcuts disappear on the computer, the situation is not pleasant. Indeed, in this case, the usual mode of operation is disrupted. And if the shortcut disappeared from an inexperienced user, then it's really a disaster. But, as they say, there are no hopeless situations. At least the following methods will help solve your problem.
Step 2
The simplest of them is to right-click on a free part of the taskbar and go to the "Properties" section. In the new window that opens, you can turn the system icons on and off. Find the “Volume” column in the table, then in the right part of the window in the “Behavior” column, using the context menu, select the “Enable” option. Returning this icon to the toolbar, you can at any time adjust the necessary sound parameters, use the mixer, set the desired sound level, and give various noise effects.
Step 3
You can return the volume label to the tray by enabling the Universal PNP Device Node service. To do this, open the "Computer" section. Then find the "Management" section, from which you will need to navigate to the "Services and Application" folder. Open Services and enable the Generic PNP Device Node option. To do this, specify the "Automatic" startup type in the properties and start the service.
Step 4
You can try another option to restore the icon. To do this, from the "Start" menu go to "Control Panel". In this section, find the Sounds and Audio Devices subdirectory and the Volume tab and check the box next to Show volume icon on taskbar.
Step 5
If these methods do not help, try cleaning temporary files and system settings cache. For this, for example, CCleaner is suitable. Run the program, open the "Cleanup - Windows" tab. Then select "System" and check "Temporary files, File fragments", and "Miscellaneous - obsolete selections, notification area cache, other files and folders." Perform cleaning. After that, the deleted icons that disappeared from the taskbar should be returned to their place.
