Step 1
If you need to switch the operating system Windows 7 or Windows Vista to Russian, you can do it like this. First you need to download the Vistalizator program. It can be easily found on the Internet. You need to download it specifically for your OS, since the versions of the program for Vista and Windows 7 are incompatible. You should also take into account the bitness of your operating system. Extract the archive to any folder. There is no need to install the program. It can be run directly from a folder.
Step 2
Next, you should download the Russian LIP (language pack) for your operating system. To do this, just type in the browser search engine "download Russian LIP for Vista or Windows 7". Save the package to any folder.
Step 3
Run the Vistalizator program. On its main menu, click Add languages. Specify the path to the folder where you saved the Russian language pack. Select it with the left mouse button. Then click "Open" at the bottom of the window. A message will appear stating that automatic language updates are not possible using the operating system, but you can use the program to do this. Click OK. In the next window, select the Russian language pack and click Install. Now wait for the installation of the new language pack to complete (about ten minutes). When the process completes, click Yes.
Step 4
The main menu of the program contains a list of available languages. Now Russian has appeared there. Select it with the left mouse button. Then select the Change language option. You will be prompted to restart your computer. After rebooting, the operating system interface will be changed to Russian.
Step 5
If possible, you can update the Russian package. To do this, launch Vistalizator. Highlight Russian LIP. Then select Update from the menu. Wait, improvements and updates will be checked. If there are any, the package will be updated.
