In some cases, especially when a software or system failure occurs, the operating system user accounts are deleted. When the computer is rebooted, the user cannot log into the system using his username. It would seem that the situation is hopeless, but do not despair. In Windows XP and above, a very useful utility is provided that helps in most system crashes. It is called "System Restore" or "System Restore" in English.
This utility, without going into details, helps to return the computer to the state in which it was before the crash. Each time you install a program or drivers, this utility saves an image of the system on your hard disk, and, accordingly, if necessary, you can easily restore them.
Instructions
Step 1
Go to Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools.
Step 2
When the Welcome To System Restore window appears, click Next.
Step 3
In the Select A Restore Point window, you must select a restore point on the date when the operating system was working without failures.
Step 4
Click Next.
Step 5
Thus, you have run the utility to restore the operating system to the state of failure.
Step 6
At the end of this utility, the computer will restart. And after reboot, the deleted accounts should appear in the user selection window. But, you need to remember that not only the profile of this user will be restored, the state of all existing profiles of this computer will be restored. If any programs were installed, then after a failure they will be deleted. If it still does not help, then you can return to the original state of the operating system. To do this, you need to undo the result of the System Restore utility.
Step 7
To do this, go to the System Restore utility. In the Welcome To System Restore window, select the Undo My Last Restoration option. Then follow the instructions that appear. At the end of the work, the computer will restart again.
