It so happens that acceleration is enabled on the mouse by default. This is due to the increased sensitivity of the process, which is typical for a fast mode of operation. Acceleration by itself negatively affects both the gameplay and the normal work process. To disable it, you need to change certain system settings.
Instructions
Step 1
Remove mouse acceleration in the game as follows. Start the game, go to the "Objects" section in its menu, then add the following expression: "noforcemaccel -noforcemparms". After this operation, the game will start normally and without acceleration. In some games, you can remove the mouse acceleration differently. To do this, go to "My Games", right-click on the game in which you want to disable acceleration. Then follow the route: "Properties" -> "Launch Options". In the window that opens, enter the command “noforcemparms”. After that, bring up the console in the game. To do this, use the “~” key. Enter the “m_filter” command with a zero value.
Step 2
Go to the Start menu to turn off acceleration in XP. Go to the "Settings" section, then - "Control Panel". Then double click on the mouse icon. A window with a whole range of settings will appear in front of you. Select Enable Enhanced Pointer Precision. Uncheck the box next to this item and save the changes. To vary the mouse speed, adjust the corresponding slider in the settings section.
Step 3
Find your monitor DPI. To do this, go to the "Start" menu. Then follow the route: "Control Panel" -> "Personalization" -> "Display". A window will pop up in front of you where you can adjust the interest. Choose the value that suits you best for the job. Confirm the changes by clicking on the "Apply" button. Reboot your computer. Make sure that all changes take effect. If this did not happen, then you made a mistake somewhere or forgot to confirm your actions. To introduce a new operating mode of the corresponding points of the system, repeat the above operation again, while not forgetting to confirm your actions with the "OK" or "Apply" buttons.
