Step 1
Most often, such local networks are created to configure synchronous Internet access from both computers. Please also note that this method is also suitable for the following pairs: laptop + computer and laptop + laptop. Select and purchase a network adapter.
Step 2
The point is that you need three network cards to create a network with Internet access. If the tasks of a server and a router in your network will be performed by a stationary computer, then purchase a PCI format network card. If you are using a laptop + laptop bundle, then you will need a USB-LAN adapter.

Connect the second network card (adapter) to your computer or laptop. Connect one end of the network cable to it. Connect the other end of the wire to the network interface card of the second device.
Step 4
In this case, you have already got a working local area network between the two devices. In order for them to simultaneously access the Internet, configure some parameters of the network adapters.
Step 5
Turn on the device connected to the Internet. Most likely, this connection has already been configured. Open its properties. Open the Access menu. Turn on the "Allow other computers on the network to use this Internet connection" option. Save the settings.
Step 6
Go to the properties of the network adapter connected to another computer. Select the Internet Protocol TCP / IP (v4) and go to its settings. Set the static IP address for this NIC to 85.85.85.1. setting up the first device is now complete.
Step 7
Open a similar settings menu on the second computer (laptop). Enter the following values, which are derived from the IP address of the first device:
- 85.85.85.2 - IP address
- 255.0.0.0 - Subnet mask
- 85.85.85.1 - Preferred DNS Server
- 85.85.85.1 - The main gateway.
Step 8
Save the settings. Make sure both devices can access the internet.
