If you notice that every month your computer has become slower and slower, then maybe the point is in unnecessary functions that load the architecture of the operating system and use free RAM. All this can be corrected by getting rid of unused active functions that "eat up" the resources intended for other programs.
Instructions
Step 1
A lot of RAM, especially in Windows Vista and Windows 7, takes away visuals and everything related to the graphical appearance of Explorer and the desktop. In the "Personalization" section of the control panel, turn off the screensaver, the "Aero" effect, if possible, remove the wallpaper and all widgets from the desktop. Go also to "My Computer", right-click and select "Properties". In the window that appears, select "Advanced system settings" in the left pane. Click the "Performance" button in the "Advanced" tab and uncheck all the boxes, then click "OK". This will clear the RAM from unnecessary load.
Step 2
To speed up your internet connection, turn off automatic updates. Select “Run” in standard programs, enter “msconfig” (without quotes) in the field for entering the name of the application. In the window that appears, select the "Services" item and uncheck the "Automatic update" box. Also, sometimes disable antivirus updates by checking them, for example, once a week, and not every day.
Step 3
Disable System Restore to help reduce installation time for programs and games. In the properties of "My Computer" select the tab "System Restore" and check the box next to "Disable System Restore", then click "OK" and confirm the disabling of this option by clicking "Yes".
Step 4
You can also make the menu appear faster. To do this, in the main menu "Start" find "Run" and enter into the application to run programs "regedit" (without quotes). This command invokes the Registry Editor. In the left pane find “HKEY_CURRENT_USER” and go through the dropdown menu under Control - Panel - Desktop - MenuShowDelay. Put any number instead of 400, the less the better.
Step 5
Also, remove from autorun any programs that you are not using. They usually hang in the tray by the clock. Just look at their settings, usually it says "Run automatically with Windows" - uncheck this box so that unnecessary programs no longer bother you.
