A computer, a DVD player, or even a phone is suitable for viewing slideshows, provided that the file is saved in the appropriate format.

Instructions
Step 1
Prepare the photos that you will use in the slideshow. If your idea is to make a gift for a date or a significant event, select images that match the theme of the video. Find a musical accompaniment suitable for the event, it can be with or without words.
Step 2
To create a slideshow from photos, you need a special program. There are dozens of them on the Internet: Photo DVD Maker Professiona, PhotoSHOW, Photo Story, VSO PhotoDVD, Windows Movie Maker, which comes with the Windows operating system, and many others.
Step 3
Lightweight, simple and easy to use Photo DVD Maker Professional. One of the advantages of the program is the creation of several albums of different themes and content. To work in Photo DVD Maker Professiona, start the program and select the "Organize Photos" section in the working window. On the left, indicate the location of the folder with images. You can also find it in the upper window of the program. Click on the folder, mark the necessary photos and add them to the project. You can also perform this operation from the "Organizer" item of the program control panel by going to the "Add photos" section.
Step 4
In the same section, by marking a photo in the project, you can crop the image, set the duration of the slide show, add an inscription, select a font for the inscription and add an additional clipart picture to the photo.
Step 5
In the Music and Transitions section, include any melody of your choice in your project. If necessary, the music can be cut, such a useful function is also available in the program. Here you can also select transitions for changing slides.
Step 6
The Album Theme section will help you decorate your slideshow with a variety of frames and animated effects. Choose the design that best suits your topic. In addition, here you can add titles to the album at the beginning and at the end of the film.
Step 7
To create another album, press the button labeled "New", give it a name and proceed to further work. In addition to photos, you can add video clips in supported formats to the album. Sometimes, to work with video, you may need to install additional codecs. Download the program you need from the manufacturer's website.
Step 8
After you have finished creating the slideshow, go to the "Select menu" section and select one of the proposed design options. If you wish, you can download additional backgrounds for the menu.
Step 9
The last step is to save the project to disk or to a folder on your hard drive. Indicate the required video format from the proposed ones and start recording. After a while (the length of the recording depends on the size of the slideshow, the number of photos in the albums), you will be able to view your creation on your computer or DVD-player.
