The Word word processor is one of the most powerful and well-known processors running on the Windows operating system. Microsoft Word is capable of performing a huge number of test editing functions; they can be figuratively divided into basic and special. The basic functionality includes, among others, the text copy operation. With it, you can insert a certain part of the text of another document into a document, as well as copy the text within one document.

Instructions

Step 1

There are several ways to copy text, both global, which apply to all applications, and local, which only work in Word. Regardless of the method of copying the test, first of all, it is necessary to select the part of it that you plan to duplicate. Place the cursor in front of the first character that appears in the copied text. Press the left mouse button once. While holding down the key, move the mouse pointer to the end character that you want to copy. Once you have brought the cursor to the desired location, release the mouse button. The marked text will be displayed in white on a black background. The selected part can be copied.

Step 2

The first copying option is carried out using the drop-down menu that appears when you right-click. On the previously selected text, right-click once. From the menu that opens, select the "Copy" item. After clicking on it, your text will be placed on the clipboard.

Step 3

The next way, which is also global, is to use a keyboard shortcut. After selecting the necessary part of the text, press the key combination "Ctrl + C". After clicking, the selected part of the text will be copied to the clipboard.

Step 4

In addition to these, there is a copying method, which is carried out by pressing the internal key combinations of Microsoft Word. Select the required part of the text and press the combination "Ctrl + Ins". The selected part of the text will be copied.

Step 5

In addition, after selecting the text, you can go to the main menu of the program at: "Edit" -> "Copy". The text will also be copied to the clipboard.

Step 6

In the same way, the pasting of the previously copied text is carried out. Place the cursor in the part of the text where you want to paste a fragment from the clipboard. And by analogy with copying, press: "Ctrl + V" or "Shift + Ins" or right-click and "Paste".
