Microsoft Word is a powerful tool for editing and creating text documents. Its capabilities allow you to create almost any document that has the required formatting. For example, you can use Word's features to create any vertical text that can be useful when printing brochures or advertisements.
Instructions
Step 1
One of the methods for creating vertical formatting in Word is to paste the text you want into a table. Open Word using Start - All Programs - Microsoft Office - Microsoft Word. Create a blank document or open the required file where you want to insert vertical text.
Step 2
In the top toolbar of the text editor, go to "Insert". Click the "Table" button and create the required number of cells.
Step 3
In the table that appears, enter the required text. After that, right-click on it and select "Text Direction". In the appeared field "Orientation" select the required direction of the text.
Step 4
To make the borders of the table invisible, right-click on it and select "Borders and Fill". In the window that opens, go to the "Border" tab and click on the "No" icon, which will give you the opportunity to cancel the display of borders.
Step 5
You can also use the Text Box menu to insert text. To do this, go to the "Insert" section of the upper toolbar of the program. In the list that appears, click on the "Text field" button and select the type of inscription that suits you.
Step 6
After the text box is inserted on the border, adjust its position using the corresponding arrow above it. You can rotate the box to any angle and make the text display vertical. To set additional formatting options, right-click in the text area and select "Advanced Layout Options". You can also always use the item "Home" - "Format" - "Text Direction" of the toolbar. After applying all the changes, save the file.
