Instructions

Step 1

Open the text in which you need to erase any fragment in any editor, for example, in Microsoft Office Word. Place the cursor after the character you want to delete and press the Backspace key. This will remove characters from the text file one at a time.

Step 2

Move the cursor to the position preceding the characters to be deleted. Press the delete key the required number of times until all unnecessary characters are erased from the text.

Step 3

If you need to erase several characters in a row, use the selection of unnecessary text in the editor with the left mouse button and press the Delete or Backspace key, there will be no fundamental difference. To delete and then paste, use the "Cut" menu item of the right mouse button, and then position the cursor on the position where you want to copy the text and right-click. Select "Insert".

Step 4

If you need to remove several symbols from the text that are not adjacent, select the first of them with the left mouse button, hold down the Ctrl key, select the second, third and so on symbols. Press Delete or Backspace, for subsequent copying after deleting, use also the actions "Cut" and "Paste".

Step 5

If you want to remove any specific characters throughout the text, open it with the Microsoft Office Word editor. Select the "Find" menu item and in the small window that appears, enter the character you want to delete. After the system finds the results, erase them. This is useful in cases where the text contains unwanted words and characters to be removed, and the amount of information is too large to be searched manually. Replacement works in the same way - select this action in Word, enter the word you want to erase in the first line, and in the second the one you want to replace it with.
