Instructions
Step 1
First, use the malware removal tool. This utility is built into the Windows operating system. Open the Start menu and go to Run. Wait for a new window to open and enter the mrt.exe command. Press the Enter key. After a new menu opens, select the Full Scan option and click Next. Confirm the launch of the utility. This process can take a long time, because the search for infected files will be performed in all folders on the hard drive.
Step 2
If the described utility did not cope with the task, then use the anti-virus program installed on your computer. Open its menu and update the virus databases. This will identify more infected files.
Step 3
Go to the Scan menu and activate this process. Specify the local drives, the contents of which you want to check. Most often, the system partition of the hard drive is infected.
Step 4
Use a program designed to quickly scan your computer's system files. Go to https://www.freedrweb.com/cureit/ and download the CureIt utility from there.
Step 5
Run the downloaded exe file. The computer scan will start automatically. Stop it and go to the Settings menu. Set the exact options for System File Checker. Run the program again and wait until it completes. If the utility found infected files but could not remove them, then perform this procedure yourself. Examine the location of the file, select it and press the Shift and Delete keys.
Step 6
Some files cannot be deleted due to use by other applications. Start the system in safe mode and try to delete the virus files again.
