The AutoCAD graphics package is designed to work in the Microsoft Windows operating system, which automatically starts after turning on the computer. Launching AutoCAD does not require special computer knowledge and the involvement of additional third-party programs.
Instructions
Step 1
Click the Start button to bring up the Windows main menu and go to All Programs to launch the AutoCAD application.
Step 2
Select Autodesk and expand the AutoCAD link. An alternative way to launch the program is to double-click on the shortcut of the AutoCAD application created during the installation process.
Step 3
Select Create Drawing mode in the Launch Modes Tab Activation dialog box.
Step 4
Click on the "Settings" tab to specify the path to the selected support files.
Step 5
Create AutoCAD shortcuts to launch the program with your own set of arguments (launching batch files, opening a new drawing based on a specified template, or displaying a drawing in specified views) for easy customization of the program workspace for a specific type of drawing.

Call the context menu by right-clicking on the shortcut of the AutoCAD application on the desktop and go to the "Properties" item.

Go to the "Shortcut" tab in the "Properties: AueoCAD" dialog box that opens.

Enter the value "device: path / acad.exe" ["picture name"] [/argument "name"] "in the Target field.
Step 9
Enter the value of the / b argument to specify the batch file to execute immediately after the program starts.
Step 10
Enter a value for the t / argument to create a new drawing based on a template with a DWT extension.
Step 11
Enter the / s argument to specify the path to the hardware configuration file to use.

Use the value of the / v argument to define the view of the drawing displayed when AutoCAD starts.

Use the / s argument value to specify a directory for supporting files other than the current one. Up to 15 folders are allowed.

Use the / r argument value to restore the default system pointing device.

Use the / nologo argument value to start an AutoCAD application without displaying the logo on the computer monitor.

Use the / p argument value to specify a user-defined profile file to run AutoCAD.
