Open My Computer. Right-click on the drive of interest. Select Properties. In the window go to the "General" tab. Install it on your computer and run it. Select the required disk by clicking the mouse, and go to the "Partition Convert" menu. Check the "NTFS" radio button and then click "OK". Click the "Apply" button to confirm the process.

If you want to change the file system from Fat32, or Fat16 to NTFS, go to Start. Click on the Run tab and enter the word "cmd" into the command line. Press the Enter key. Press the Enter button on your keyboard again. The computer will then restart.

Also, the file system can be determined using the Acronis Disk Director program. Download this utility from the Internet, or buy a disc from a store.
