Recovering a deleted game on a Windows computer follows the general principles of recovering deleted files. In some cases, you can get by with the built-in system tools, in others, you will need to use additional software.
Instructions
Step 1
Check the contents of your shopping cart. It is possible that the remote game is located there. In this case, open the context menu of the found file by clicking the right mouse button and select the "Restore" command.
Step 2
Try to restore the required file from the archive. To do this, open the main system menu by clicking the "Start" button and go to the "Control Panel" item. Expand the System and Maintenance link and expand the Backup and Restore node. Use the Recover My Files command and follow the wizard's recommendations.
Step 3
Return to the main Start menu to use an alternative method for recovering a deleted game and go to Computer. Determine the folder where the desired game was saved and open its context menu by right-clicking. Specify the item "Restore the previous version" and find the required line in the list that opens. Open the found item by double-clicking and drag the file to be restored to the computer desktop.
Step 4
If all of the above steps did not help, download and install a specialized application Recuva on your computer, designed to facilitate and automate the process of recovering deleted files. Run the program and use the "Analysis" command in the main application window. This action will scan the drive selected in the row next to the button. Wait for the process to complete and find the game you want in the directory of the dialog box that opens. Note that in addition to the file name, Recuva also displays the full path to where the file was saved, size, modification date and recovery probability. Select the required file and click the "Restore" button. Confirm the execution of the selected action by clicking the "Yes" button in the window that opens the system request, and wait for the process to complete.
