You were eager to chat on Skype, bought a new webcam, connected it to your computer. But here's the problem: due to the peculiarities of the camera mounting, the image turned out to be inverted. Don't despair; a computer - although a complex thing, you can always configure the necessary parameters in it.
Instructions
Step 1
First you need to make sure that the camera is working properly. First of all, make sure the system detects it. If not, use the software that comes with the camera, or download it from the manufacturer's official website. When the camera is detected by the system, a corresponding message will appear in the tray.
Step 2
Launch the software, find the "Options / Options" section or click on the wrench icon. The interface and functionality of the software depends on the model and manufacturer of the camera. Set the video options you want. Perhaps in the program you will find an item responsible for displaying an image in a mirror image. Save changes by clicking OK.
Step 3
If the software does not have this feature, turn on Skype. From the menu, click the Tools tab, then Customize. A window will open in which you need to select the "Video Settings" item. In the new window, click on the "Webcam Settings" option.
Step 4
The window that opens contains the webcam settings menu. The menu for these options is also independent of Skype, it depends on the model and manufacturer of the camera. Find the Horizontal Flip and Vertical Flip options. Select the desired option and save with OK.
Step 5
In the section "Video settings" you can check the result. If the changes don't take effect, restart Skype.
Step 6
Sometimes a reboot is required to save changes. Run it through the "Start" panel or through the Reset button on the system unit. After rebooting, check if the video display settings have changed. In a similar way, you can return the settings or change the reflection parameter if you have changed the position of the webcam.
