Step 1
Connect the printer to your computer and power, then turn on the printing device.

If you received a complete HP Deskjet, look in the shipping box for the software optical disc - it is included with all printers in this series. Installing a driver from a CD is a fairly simple operation - insert the media into the CD / DVD drive and wait for the startup program to start.
Step 3
A menu should appear on the screen, one of the items of which offers to install the driver - select it. After that, the installation wizard will start working, which, without your participation, will copy the necessary files to the folders of the operating system and make the necessary changes to the registry. At the end of the process, an OS information message will appear in the notification area (in the tray) that a new device is connected to the computer.

If you don't have an optical disc from the original kit of the printer, download the installation files from the Internet. It is best to use the manufacturer's own website as a source, this will greatly reduce the likelihood of a computer infection with viruses or spyware. Go to the page indicated in the link, type the word Deskjet in the input field, press Enter and find the model you need in the list of results. Then you will need to select the version and bitness of the operating system used in the drop-down list and click the "Next" button. Run the saved file, and the installation wizard will take the necessary steps to install the driver.
