Hard reset (English Hard Reset - hard reboot), the return of the operating system of the device to the state that it was upon purchase. Hard reset is used in communicators and other similar devices when they stop loading or show signs of unstable software operation - they slowly "understand", do not connect to the network, etc.
Instructions
Step 1
First, keep in mind that a hard reset will destroy all your "purchased" files, programs, etc. Therefore, make sure that you can restore them after a Hard Reset, that is, save them to any medium outside the communicator.
Step 2
If you have a memory card, remove it from your device. The documentation for the device may say that nothing is done with the memory card during a hard reboot, but it is better not to risk it. Although rare, there are cases of data loss on the card. And getting it out and inserting it back is not long.
Step 3
In the instructions for your communicator, find the key combination that you need to press for a hard reboot. Each device model has its own combinations, in addition, the devices and their firmware are constantly updated. If you cannot find these combinations in the instructions or, which often happens, you cannot find the instructions themselves, then by typing in any search engine the exact name of your model (for example, Asus P535) and Hard Reset, you can easily find the desired combination.
Step 4
Press the appropriate combination - your device will hard reboot. This will update all operating system files from a special memory area inside the communicator.
Step 5
If, after pressing the necessary keys, the reboot does not occur, then there may be two reasons: - the firmware of your communicator for some reason differs from the standard one - then look for information about this firmware;
- the device is physically defective - in this case, you yourself will not do anything, so take the communicator for repair.
Step 6
As a rule, a hard reset "heals" the communicator, and if it does not help, most likely, the software has nothing to do with it, the cause of your problems is different. If after Hard Reset the communicator works fine, do not rush to immediately restore all the programs that were on it. The problem could arise because of some of them. Restore programs one at a time and monitor the device to see the culprit of the problem.
