The Linux operating system attracts more and more users with its wide functionality and flexibility of management every year. Another advantage of Linux distributions is compatibility with various software products, including games designed for other operating systems.

Instructions
Step 1
To install games, you need the Q4Wine program. Download it from the Internet or from the repository.
Run the program and go to the Prefixes tab. In the list that opens, select Create New. This will launch the setup wizard. In the first window, click on the Next button, in the next window, specify the name of your prefix, as well as the path to it. In this case, be sure to tick the Create Wine Fake Drive option. Continue with the configuration using the default values. Press the Finish button on the last window.
Step 2
Next, you need to create a Wine virtual disk. The program will automatically launch the Create Disc Wizard. Click Next on the first step, in the second window, write the username and organization, with the line below mark the required version of the operating system. At the third step, for the convenience of using the program, specify the email program and browser you are using.
Step 3
In the fourth window specify the following parameters: D3DRenderer - leave the Default value;
LockMode - also select Default;
Multisampling - press the On button;
Video Memory - specify the size of the memory of the installed video card (in megabytes);
OffScreenMode is the default. After making the changes, click on the Finish button.
Step 4
For the program to work, you need to install DirectX. Click the Setup tab and go to the System Software menu. The Current prefix list will open, select the prefix of the game to be installed. Next, at the top of the screen, click the Run Winetricks button, select Install Winetricks. In the menu that opens, select directx9. Click Install to start installation. The DirectX installation process will begin, when finished, click Exit.
Step 5
Now you just have to install the game itself. Open the main menu of the program, right-click on the free space and select New. With this you have created a new directory, give it any name, and then select it. In the context menu of the directory, select Run. Next, specify the path to the exe file of the game, and the program will start installing it. After installation, you can launch the game and enjoy the gameplay.
