Step 2
Large games are often archived for compression and easy sharing on the web. Usually, archives are split in parts, since most file hosting services have restrictions on the size of uploaded files. Archive files are usually of the following formats: zip, rar, 7z. A standard archiver is not always suitable for them, so it is better to install a special program: WinRar or 7-Zip.
Step 3
Sometimes games are placed in a CD image. Usually the format of such a file is ISO. Installing a file from an ISO image is more difficult. To do this, you need to create a virtual floppy drive. This can be done using the DAEMON Tools program. After the “disc” is created, the standard installation will begin. After installation, the mounted image in the virtual disk drive can create discomfort, therefore, for games that require a disc, you can download a special patch called NoCD, which can be found on the sites www.playground.ru or www.igromania.ru.
