The Windows Vista operating system is ideal for gamers. Ask: "Why?" While creating it, the developer company made several changes that are so important for the players. First, the games folder in this OS is located at the top of the right panel, which makes it easier to access games. Secondly, Games Explorer is provided for launching and updating games installed on a PC. But the question remains: "Has the order of installing games changed?"

Necessary

  • - personal computer with access to the global network;
  • - a disc with a game.

Instructions

Step 1

Make sure you have free space on the hard drive of your personal computer, because if there is not enough space for a game, it simply will not install. In order to check the free capacity of the hard drive, click on "My Computer" and right-click on the C drive, and then on D (provided that the hard drive is divided into two logical ones).

Step 2

Insert the disc with the game to be installed into the drive. In the "My Computer" tab, left-click on the drive icon (it automatically shows the name of the game and the disc number if the set of discs with the game includes several discs). After all these operations, a window will appear for installing the game.

Step 3

Click on the option "install the game" or "install the game". Be sure to read the text that appears in the next window, and then click on the "Next" button.

Step 4

In the "Application installation directory" window that appears on the screen, select the computer disk on which the game application will be installed. By default, drive C is offered, the Program Files folder. This directory can be left unchanged if there is enough space on the logical drive C or only one logical drive in the PC. If there is not enough space on the logical drive C and you have one more logical drive (let's call it D), then click "change directory" and set the desired direction.

Step 5

Click Next. Carefully read all the windows that appear on the screen by clicking on the "Next" button. If the game is on multiple discs, then enter all discs. Select the language of the game to be installed by clicking "Next". At the end of the installation, a message will appear on the screen stating that the game has been successfully installed - click "OK".

Step 6

To check the correctness of the installation of the game, start it. This can be done in two ways: click on the shortcut located on the desktop, or launch the game through the "Start" menu.
