Task Manager is a special utility for the Windows operating system. It allows you to access the list of all processes running on the computer, view the load on the processor and RAM. All necessary processes can be started and unloaded directly from the "Task Manager". It also allows you to manipulate network connections and active users.
Instructions
Step 1
Not infrequently, if the computer freezes, the Task Manager comes to the rescue. To call it, you need to type the key combination Ctrl + Alt + Delete, but there are times when for some reason this utility does not start, i.e. disabled. One of the reasons may be the disabling of the utility in the registry of the operating system.
Step 2
To enable the "Task Manager" open the "Start" menu, click on "Run …" and type the command "RegEdit".
Step 3
In the window that opens, go to the section
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesSystem
Remove the parameter named DisableTaskMgr here. After that, the Task Manager will become available again. To disable the utility again, create the DisableTaskMgr DWORD parameter in the specified section (if the System subkey does not exist, create it) and assign it the value 1.
