Suitable image, Adobe Photoshop

Instructions

Step 1

Open the image on which you want to draw snow, for example, a photo with fir branches and Christmas toys.

Start in areas where the snow should be darker. Take the Brush Tool and one of Photoshop's standard brushes, consisting of many individual points. Choose # c7cad7 for the color and leave some brush marks where you want to darken the snow. Make the radius of the brush smaller and add snow to the finer details. In order to make the snowy relief more pronounced, take the Burn Tool with the following settings Range - Midtones, Exposure - 50% and darken some places with it.

Step 2

Let's move on to drawing snow with a medium degree of illumination. Make it brighter than the background, but keep it as bright as possible for the snow in the foreground. Take another Brush Tool in shape, but also consisting of many points. The color will suit like this # d6d9e7. Add extra touches and details to the middle background.

Step 3

Take a brush whose points are quite apart from each other, set the color to f2f0f7. Draw snow in the foreground. Make the brush size smaller and paint snow on the pine needles. Some of it can be made even whiter.

Step 4

Create a new layer and paint some white strokes on it in the direction of the pine needles. Blur them with the Blur Tool.

Step 5

In order to make the effect of falling snow, take a photo in which there are snowdrifts, snowy trees, but not snowing. It is possible to do this effect on other pictures as well. Create a new layer. Select the blend mode of the Screen layer in the Layer palette. Use black as the base color. Apply the following effect Filter - Sketch - Graphic pen, choose the parameters that will best suit your picture. Apply Filter-Blur-Gaussian blur to enhance the effect. Set the opacity of the layer to about 70%.
