When formatting data in the form of a table in Microsoft Office Word and Microsoft Office Excel documents, the user may need to make the form invisible, that is, bring the document to such a form when the text is displayed, but the borders of the tables are not printed. This can be done using the editor tools.
Instructions
Step 1
A document in Microsoft Office Excel is itself a table. If all data in your table should go in solid text without separating borders, just do not change the editor settings. Align column widths and heights, and format cells, but do not rely on tools to create tables and decorate borders.
Step 2
If you need to make only part of the form invisible, or you are editing a ready-made document in which the borders of the table are indicated, follow several steps. Select with the mouse or the Shift and [arrow keys] the area in which you want to hide the borders. On the Home tab, in the Font section, click the arrow icon to the right of the outlined square thumbnail. Select the "No Borders" item in the drop-down menu by clicking on it with the left mouse button - the borders of the cells you have selected will become invisible.
Step 3
The same effect can be achieved in another way: select the area you need and click on it with the right mouse button. In the context menu, select Format Cells. In the dialog box that opens, go to the "Borders" tab and in the "All" group select the thumbnail labeled "None". Click the OK button to apply the new settings to the edited part of the document.
Step 4
The same principle applies when working in the Microsoft Office Word editor, but you need to look for the corresponding tools in other sections. Select the shape or part of the shape that you want to make invisible. Open the "Home" tab and select the "Paragraph" section. Click the arrow button to the right of the outlined square icon and select the No Border option.
Step 5
Access to this option is also possible through the right mouse click. Using it, select the "Table properties" item in the drop-down menu, in the opened dialog box, go to the "Table" tab. Click the "Borders and Fill" button at the bottom of the window and on the "Borders" tab set the options you want. Apply the settings with the OK button.
Step 6
When you select at least one table cell in Word, the "Working with Tables" context menu becomes available. It can also be used to make the shape invisible. Select the desired area of the table, open the Table Tools menu and select the Design tab. In the Table Styles section, find the icon you already know and apply the style you want for the table borders.
