Step 1
The first way is to edit the Administration applet. Click the "Start" menu, select "Control Panel". In the folder that opens, double-click on the "Administration" icon, you will see the "Administration" applet. Select Local Security Policy, then User Rights Assignment. In the window that opens, set the "All" value to the "Deny access to the computer from the network" parameter.

The second method is to disable the service responsible for the visibility of the computer on the network. Click the Start menu, select Run. In the window that opens, enter the command Net config server / hidden: yes, then click the "OK" button.

The next method disables all services that are, in one way or another, related to the operation of the computer on the local network. Click the "Start" menu, select "Control Panel". In the folder that opens, double-click on the "Administration" icon, you will see the "Administration" applet. Select "Services", change the startup type (disabled) for the following services:

- Telnet;
- Routing and remote access;

You can also use the registry editor to prevent the creation of shared resources between users. Click the Start menu, select Run. In the window that opens, enter the regedit command, then click the "OK" button. In the registry editor, navigate to the following address HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESystemCurrentControlSetServicesLanmanServerParametrs. Create a new parameter REG_DWORD, name it AutoSareWks. Set this parameter to zero. Try one of these methods, remember to restart your computer.
