The tablet is an excellent assistant for people of creative professions and office workers. But to turn the toy into a working tool, you will need to install a number of useful programs on the tablet, among which a high-quality text editor is in the first place.
Most tablets from popular manufacturers have an application for opening and reading documents, including presentations and spreadsheets, preinstalled. But it is often impossible to edit the file in such a standard program. But the special software installed from Google Play allows you to turn your Android tablet into a full-fledged mobile office.
Kingsoft Office: editing any electronic documents on a tablet
This app is in the top of Google Play and has several hundred thousand fans. Which, however, is not surprising. The program allows you to open office documents in a couple of steps, including scanned copies saved in PDF format, right on the tablet.
The only reason why this application is disliked by Russian-speaking owners of tablet computers is the lack of support for the Russian language. Although, the application interface is quite simple and intuitive.
QuickOffice by Google: virtual office for android
This application has almost the same features as the previous ones, but it also has its own flavor. QuickOffice “knows how” to synchronize documents with Google Doc files, and this for many is a determining factor in choosing a mobile application that works with word- and excel-documents.
Synchronization with Google Doc allows you to save documents even if the tablet is lost or broken.
The functionality of the application is basic. There is no special assortment of possibilities for text design, such as in a Word for a PC, in QuickOffice. But what is in the program is quite enough to easily edit a document of any popular format away from the computer and send it by opening access to it in Google Doc or via e-mail. It should be noted that without access to the Internet, the application also works fine.
Please note that without an Internet connection, the created documents are not synchronized with the server and you need to save them to the tablet memory or to external media.
Outside the office, work won't stop with a tablet at hand. In addition to the above applications that support editing electronic document files, there are about a dozen more variations of paid and free programs. Therefore, if the editor is not initially installed on your tablet, do not despair: take a look at Google Play and choose from the assortment of the “assistant” to your taste.
