The power supply is typically used to charge the battery and provide power to the laptop in place of the battery. Most often, this is an external unit, for which there is no single standard, and the power supply units themselves, as a rule, are not interchangeable. There are situations when you need to disassemble the laptop power supply (in most cases, the wire "shorts"). At first glance, this is not easy to do, since all the components of the block are very well matched and fastened.
It is necessary
- - Power Supply;
- - scalpel;
- - screwdriver;
- - soldering iron.
Instructions
Step 1
First, open the charging case - place the scalpel on the sealed seam of the charger and gently tap the scalpel to cut the seam plastic completely on one side. The block should be opened at the seams, but this should be done very carefully, since one side is a rib and the other is a groove. It is not necessary to press inward, it is required to grope the side without the rib and carefully separate it.
Step 2
The hardest part is cutting the first hole. To do this, take the thinnest and narrowest screwdriver and heat it up. Then install a screwdriver on the seam of the block and gently press until you hear a characteristic click. Then start moving the screwdriver along the seam until the charging opens itself. Often there are chargers that are not easy to open: these are the PSUs of Asus, Acer, Hp, Dell laptops and others. Chargers for Apple Macbooks are opened in a similar way, except that they are not glued, but connected in a special way, but when opened, their appearance also suffers.
Step 3
Now find the cause of the malfunction, check the voltage at the output of the board. If everything is in order, then look for the problem further. Remove the metal case by unsoldering it from the charger board. Cut through the rubber stopper of the plug. After that, cut off the excess wires, solder the whole wires to the connector, and re-solder it. The power supply for again is ready to work and charge the device. If disassembled carefully, the power supply will not be badly damaged and its appearance will still remain perfect.
