Offline mode allows you to open previously visited pages without being connected to the network. It is convenient for users with traffic restrictions. In addition, it can be useful when there is a temporary lack of access to the Internet.

Step 1
If you are using the most common Internet Explorer browser, to enable offline mode, open the File menu and select Offline mode. In this case, a bird will appear next to this line. Offline mode is enabled, you can view previously visited pages. It should be noted that some visited pages are not saved in the cache and therefore cannot be viewed offline. Such sites must be specially saved for later viewing.
Step 2
Determining if your browser is offline is very easy - try any link. A warning window should appear immediately with a message stating that you are working in offline mode and a proposal to exit it. Refuse the offer or accept if you want to go offline.
Step 3
In other popular browsers, the choice of offline mode is carried out in the same way - you must select the line "Offline mode" in the "File" menu (in some browsers - "Work offline"). To exit offline mode, uncheck the previously checked box.

While working on the Internet, enabling offline mode can be used not only to view visited pages without connecting to the network, but also to limit traffic. By enabling offline mode, you can fearlessly leave your computer without fear of ads or other unwanted content being downloaded from open pages in your absence.

In terms of the convenience of working offline, the undisputed leader is the Opera browser, in which an on / off button for offline mode can be added to the address bar. When pressed, the button changes color, which is very convenient - one glance is enough to understand if the computer is offline. In the same way, you can place other useful interface elements to a convenient place - for example, the power button and select proxy servers.
