Step 1
Select the type of connection to be established between your mobile computer and TV. Laptops usually have two ports for connecting an external display. These are VGA and HDMI channels.

HDMI inputs are common on modern TVs. Use this connector to connect to your laptop. This method will allow you to transmit a digital signal, which is important when watching movies in high quality. Another plus of the HDMI channel is the ability to broadcast an audio signal.

Purchase an HDMI to HDMI cable. Its length should not be too long. This can lead to loss of quality of the transmitted signal. Turn on your mobile computer and TV.

Connect the devices using the prepared cable. Take the TV remote control and switch the equipment operating mode. To do this, select the HDMI port to which the cable is connected.

Wait for a while while the mobile computer detects the new display. After that, the background picture of the desktop will be displayed on the TV screen. This means that the Expand Display function is currently active.

To switch the priority device, right-click on an unoccupied area of the desktop. In the menu that appears, select the "Screen Resolution" item.
