Step 1
Connecting an audio device. Let's consider the correct connection of an audio device to a computer using the example of a subwoofer. First, plug the power plug of the subwoofer into the mains and turn it on. Next, you need to insert the bifurcated plug into the corresponding jacks on your audio device. The other end of the cord will mount a single plug that plugs into the output on the sound card (the jacks on the back of the computer). Plug this plug into any available jack. Please note that the speakers should already be connected to the subwoofer.
Step 2
After you insert the plug into the jack, you need to correctly identify the type of connected device. On the desktop, the sound card agent will display a window where you need to set a specific parameter. As a setting for the subwoofer, you need to check the box next to the “Subwoofer / center channel output” value. If you set it to a different value, sound reproduction may be muffled and distorted in some cases. After checking the box next to the above mentioned item, click the "OK" button and close the sound card agent window.
Step 3
To further improve the sound reproduction quality, adjust the appropriate parameters on the subwoofer itself. You can make certain adjustments in the equalizer of your sound card. To do this, launch the manager of this device (usually the manager icon is contained in the system tray) and go to the "Sound effect" section. Here you can adjust the playback quality using certain equalizer settings.
