Experts recommend periodically checking the temperature of some parts of your personal computer. For the timely detection of overheating of devices, it is necessary to use special programs.
Install the Speed Fan utility and run it. In the window that opens, the temperature readings of the main computer devices will be displayed. Find the numbers related to your graphics card. The recommended temperature of the video adapter in passive mode is 40-45 degrees. If the actual temperature is significantly higher than this mark, then adjust the parameters of the fan installed on the video card.
At the bottom of the open menu of the Speed Fan program, find the description of the cooler related to the video adapter. Raise its rotation speed to 100%. Wait a while until a stable temperature is determined for this mode of cooler operation. If it is still above the norm, then technical intervention will be required.
Turn off the computer and disconnect the system unit from the AC power. Open the block case by removing the left wall. Vacuum the inside of the case, removing dust from the main elements. Remove the video card by unscrewing the mounting screw and disconnecting the cable going to the monitor.
Use a cotton pad or cotton swabs to remove dust from the fan blades. To improve the effect, soak the instrument in a weak alcohol solution. Make sure the cooler spins freely and does not require replacement or lubrication. Install the video card into a special slot and connect the cable from the monitor to it.
Make sure that the ventilation of the system unit is not impaired. Do not install the housing cover unless absolutely necessary. Try to place the computer system unit as far as possible from the heating elements. If, after the above procedures, the video card still overheats, then install an additional cooler. Attach it right next to the video adapter to provide additional cooling.
