A laptop, as a rule, is an expensive thing, so they are responsible for choosing it. And I want it to serve at least until the owner decides to change it to a more modern and powerful model. But the more saturated the market, the more difficult it can be to make a choice.
Instructions
Step 1
Decide for yourself what tasks you need a laptop for. Are you just going to browse the Internet and work with text documents, include films? Or are you planning to do editing, photo, video, music or web design? Or maybe you like to play computer games. In the first case, you do not need a lot of power and you can get by with a relatively simple model or a netbook. Whether you will work with video or develop a design, it all depends on the requirements for the characteristics of a computer or laptop in the programs you use. Modern games usually require a lot of power.
Step 2
If you are not familiar with the specifications of laptops, talk to a knowledgeable friend and ask him to advise you on the necessary specifications based on your needs. The seller, of course, can also help you, but you must understand what he is talking about. Still, it is more important for the seller that you make a purchase, and the more expensive the better.
Step 3
Decide on a firm. If you already had a model from a certain company that has proven itself well, you can again choose a laptop from that manufacturer. Or collect statistics in reviews on the Internet and among your friends regarding build quality, frequency of breakdowns, overheating. There are usually several major manufacturers considered to be the most reliable. However, there will certainly be negative reviews about them. Any laptop can break down a week after purchase, or it can work for ten years, but no one can guarantee this.
Step 4
If you have a certain amount and need to buy a laptop at an affordable price, go to computer supermarkets. In large chains today you can find equipment at quite reasonable prices. Also, a laptop can often be bought cheaper at outlets where pre-ordering equipment from a warehouse according to a catalog is practiced. In some places, you may even get an extra discount.
Step 5
Before buying, ask the seller all the questions you are interested in, you can even write them down in advance to be sure that you bought exactly what you need. Ask to turn on the laptop and demonstrate that it is working properly. Find out more about the warranty provided. Be sure to keep your warranty card and receipt.
