Any operating system allows you to make sound settings using system capabilities. You can adjust the overall sound volume, or separately adjust the volume for sound effects, Internet browser, or system sounds. In general, choose the most convenient soundtrack for working on a computer.

Step 1
Pay attention to the taskbar at the bottom of the operating system desktop, where there is a speaker icon on the right. Click on this icon with the left mouse button, after which a strip with a slider will appear. Move the slider and adjust the overall volume of the computer according to your needs.

At the bottom of the slider is the "Mixer" line. Click on it with the left mouse button. A menu will appear where you can adjust the level of the system sounds and the Internet browser. Using the slider, set the sound level you need in the "System sounds" section, then in the same way in the Internet browser section.
Step 3
If you are using IP telephony and a telephone is connected to your computer, you can adjust the volume scheme of the computer sounds, which will automatically work the moment you talk on the phone. To do this, right-click on an empty space on the desktop and select "Personalization" in the menu that appears. At the bottom of the window that appears, there will be a Sounds parameter. Click on it with the left mouse button. Next, on the top toolbar, select the "Communication" tab.
Step 4
A window will appear in which you can adjust the volume of sounds during a call. Select how much to decrease the volume of sounds when a phone call is received or made. You can check the "Disable all other sounds" checkbox. Thus, during a telephone conversation, you will only hear the voice of the interlocutor.
Step 5
Now select the Sounds tab. A window will appear in which you can set various sound system effects, add additional sound components to various situations (for example, notification of the arrival of an e-mail). Or turn off sound alerts altogether. When you're done adjusting sound schemes and volume levels, click Apply and then OK.
