One of the most common problems that arise when reinstalling an operating system is the lack of sound or incorrect operation of the sound card. There are several different techniques for solving this problem.
Necessary
Sam Drivers
Instructions
Step 1
First, install the required drivers or update the existing ones. Open the Device Manager menu located in the Properties of the Computer menu. Find your sound card to which the audio output device is connected.
Step 2
Right-click on its name and select "Update drivers". Specify the option "Automatically squeak and install drivers." The system will select the appropriate drivers for this device.
Step 3
Sometimes this method does not help. If you are faced with such a situation, open an Internet browser and go to the official website of the manufacturer of this sound card. Find the "Driver" section of this resource (sometimes called "Software"). Select the software or driver package that matches your sound card and download it. If you have not found drivers for this model of your audio device, download programs for similar devices.
Step 4
Install the downloaded software. Check the sound card is working. If you can't find the drivers yourself, then install the program, which is a database of drivers for popular devices. We recommend using the Sam Drivers utility.
Step 5
Open the RunThis.exe file from the SamDrivers directory. Select the Driver Installer Assistant menu. Wait while the program detects all installed hardware and selects new drivers for it.
Step 6
Check the box next to the driver package that you want to update, for example, Sound Others. Click the Run Job for Selected Packages button. Select the "Install automatically" option. Wait for the installed software to update.
Step 7
Open Control Panel and go to the Sound menu. Adjust the settings in this menu according to the characteristics and capabilities of the connected audio output devices.
