Sometimes users cannot remember the password they set on the BIOS of their computer. Fortunately, this does not restrict their access to the computer as long as they follow a few simple steps.

Instructions
Step 1
Turn off the computer from the network, unplug the power cord.
Step 2
Remove the left side wall of the system unit (when looking at it from the front) or the general casing (depending on the type of case).
Step 3
Take a close look at the motherboard. Look for a coin cell like the one shown in the illustration for this article.
Step 4
Gently remove the battery from the slot and, after a few minutes, put it back in.
Step 5
Reassemble the computer case and start it up.
Step 6
After removing the battery, the BIOS password will be reset, as well as all its other settings, they will be set to the ones suggested by the manufacturer.
