Configuring an alternative activation for a PC is not difficult. This may be required if the user does not like the traditional method, is bored, or the button on the system unit simply breaks. There are two whole alternative launch methods - keyboard and mouse. You can configure the start with the mouse as follows.

Instructions

Step 1

Check the BIOS version on your PC first. The mouse can be used to turn on a PC with Phoenix and Award. How do I find out the version? Start the device and the BIOS type will be written on the first startup picture. The mouse must have an old PS / 2 connector. Newer USB models will not be suitable for such purposes. The same goes for the keyboard itself. Owners of a computer with BIOS version of AMI are also deprived of such features.

Step 2

Restart your PC and run BIOS setup. This is done by pressing the Delete or F2 button. Some PCs require other combinations - you can find out about this from the very screen where the BIOS version is visible. Once in the blue setup panel, use the keys to navigate to Management Power Setup from the main menu. The BIOS is controlled using the Esc, Enter and arrows.

Step 3

Look for the Mouse Power On inscription and go to this section. Now you can select the left or right button of the manipulator, from which you press the computer to start (options Mouse Left and Right Mouse). In the same section, you can configure the activation from another device - the keyboard. Available functions Hot Key (combination of buttons) and Any Key (the PC will turn on when you press any of them). After completing all the changes, save them and leave the BIOS. This is done through the start menu or by simply pressing F10. Then a window will appear in which you need to enter Y as a sign of agreement, and then hold down Enter. The PC will restart. Now you can safely turn it off and try the new launch method in action.
