A lot has been written about not dumping your whole life on the Internet. But since many people love Instagram and similar services so much, I want to remind you of some key points of compliance with minimum security.
So, why not upload your photos and, especially, photos of your children to social networks and other sites?
First, let's remember basic security. If you post photos of concert tickets or resort vouchers, you make it clear to scammers that your apartment will be free during the specified period. The same applies to photographs - "braggart": do not post photos of valuable acquisitions, collectibles. Law enforcement agencies have already received more than one hundred statements of theft on such a ridiculous tip.
The fall in morals is no less terrible. Candid photos can easily provoke an attack on a girl or child. Also, such photos can serve as compromising evidence in the future.
do not "check" and do not let your children do it, because you do not even need to be tracked - you yourself voluntarily draw your routes for criminals.
What else can you do to make it harder for potential criminals?
- Do not take pictures with the car.
- Do not post photos of any documents (do not brag about the received visas, diplomas, certificates of marriage, property …).
- Post travel photos after your trip.
- Do not post photos of loved ones, especially those that can serve as compromising material (in the process of drinking alcohol, non-observance of the rules of conduct at work, too frank, etc.). Save photos of your children with friends just for yourself!
- Try not to be frank in personal correspondence.
The more you post information about yourself on the Internet (even if maximum privacy is selected in the profile settings), the more you risk your property, health, life!
