After uninstalling Kaspersky, some files remain in the operating system registry that are not deleted along with the anti-virus program. Before installing a new antivirus program, you must completely clean your computer of the old antivirus. In addition, cleaning the Windows registry from unnecessary files will make the operating system more stable. Moreover, many programs can automatically clean up the registry, which will avoid errors and delete the necessary files.

Instructions
Step 1
Before you start cleaning the registry, download the TuneUp Utilities program from the Internet and install it on your computer hard drive. After installation, a PC restart may be required. If the Setup Wizard prompts you to restart, select the "Restart computer now" line.
Step 2
Run the program. A window will appear showing the progress of the system scan. After its completion, click on the line "Fix problems" and you will be taken to the main menu of the program. At the top of the program window are the main functions. Select the System Optimization component. On the right side of the program window, find the inscription "Manually start maintenance tasks". Under this inscription, find the command "Registry Cleanup" and click on it with the left mouse button. In the window that appears, check the "Full view" item. A system scan will start, which will find the files that remain after uninstalling Kaspersky Anti-Virus.
Step 3
After scanning is complete, a window will appear in which two actions will be available. The first action is "Clean up the registry immediately", the third action is "View problems". Check the View Issues checkbox and the Issue Summary window will pop up. It will say that the program that some files refer to no longer exists.
Step 4
Then, in the same window, select the "Start cleaning" action. Another window will appear in which click on the "Next" command. The process of cleaning the registry will begin. Wait for it to complete and click "Finish". The Issue Summary line will now read Not Found. This means that the operating system registry has been cleared of Kaspersky files.
Step 5
Then, to complete the cleaning procedure, close all windows of the program and restart the computer. After rebooting, nothing will be left from Kaspersky Lab on your PC.
