Step 1
Download the Advanced SQL Password Recovery program. This program is a simple sql password administrator. You can find the application on the website softodrom.ru or any other software portal. Run the program using the startup file. Typically, these files are in exe format.
Step 2
The main program window contains only a few control buttons. To open the sql server configuration file master.mdf, click the "Open" button and specify the location of the file on your hard disk partition. Click Open to confirm your choice.

Click the Find Users button to make the utility scan the master.mdf file and display all the server user records. If there are a lot of users, scanning can take a long time. Find the required user in the list and select it by placing the mouse cursor on it. Click the Change Password button to set a new password for the account to replace the lost one.

Examine the entire list of users and set passwords for those accounts that are active, if necessary. The program automatically saves the changes to the master.mdf file when you click the Exit button.

There are other programs with similar functions. Enterprise Manager helps you easily configure and manage SQL Server users. However, this program only works with Enterprise Manager in SQL Server 7.0 and SQL Server 2000. You can try both applications and see which one works best for you.
