The need to install a video adapter may arise when assembling a computer with your own hands or replacing burnt out or obsolete equipment.

Step 1
Before replacing the device, it is necessary to remove the drivers from the old video card to be sure that there will be no conflict with the new ones. To do this, in the device manager on the selected adapter, right-click and select the "Driver" tab in the "Properties" menu that opens. Then click on the "Delete" item. After uninstalling the driver, you need to turn off your computer.

Now you can start removing the video card. After shutting down Windows, you must turn off the computer and be sure to disconnect all wires from the system unit. Next, open the case cover and, after unscrewing the fastening screw of the video card, carefully remove it from the slot on the motherboard.

The next step is to install the adapter into the vacated slot. The video card should snap into place under light pressure. Now all that remains is to attach the device to the case with a screw and replace the system unit cover. That's it - you can plug the cords back in and turn on the computer.
Step 4
After loading the Windows operating system, new hardware will be detected, which will not work correctly without the necessary drivers. In order to install the drivers, find the disc that contains all the necessary software for the correct operation of the equipment in the kit with the video card. Install the drivers from the disk, after which it is advisable to update them from the Internet.
