Installing drivers for the video adapter is necessary to improve the performance of this hardware. Usually, choosing the right files will improve the quality of the image displayed on the monitor.
Instructions
Step 1
Many manufacturers strongly recommend using only original drivers from video card manufacturers. This method avoids problems that may arise when installing incorrect files. This can even lead to the failure of the operating system. Visit the official website of the company that developed the video adapter you are using. Usually these are sites www.asus.com, www.nvidia.ru or www.ati.com.
Step 2
Find the Drivers or Download Center menu. Fill in the table that opens. Select the exact model for which you need to install the driver. Never install programs intended for other models of video cards. Download the files offered by the site. This is usually the only file with the *.exe extension.
Step 3
Run this file and follow the step-by-step driver installation menu. After the utility completes, restart your computer. Open the control panel of your video card and configure the settings for its operation. Disable unused components to avoid wasting device resources.
Step 4
Sometimes it can be quite difficult to choose the necessary drivers yourself. Download and install Sam Drivers. Run it by selecting the runthis.exe file. After opening this file, the analysis of your hardware will automatically start and search for the necessary drivers. Select the checkboxes for the devices for which you want to update work files.
Step 5
Click the Install button and wait for the pop-up menu to appear. Select "Typical Installation". Do not install files that fail validation with your operating system. After the installation of the drivers is complete, a window will appear prompting you to restart your computer. Follow this step and wait for the files to update.
